Dear Sir,

The university of Antwerp Management School (AMS) is part of the prestigious University of Antwerp, with roots back to 1852. The University of Antwerp has Belgium's largest business school.

It is fully accredited not only by the Flemish Ministry of Education, but also by AACSB and offers outstanding international management education. The Degree of the University of Antwerp is highly recognized in Belgium and in all countries of the EU. This is one of the best Universities of Belgium.

The history of the Universitaire Faculteiten Sint-Ignatius te Antwerpen UFSIA (University of Antwerp) dates back to the mid 19th century, when fathers of the Societas Jesu established the Saint-Ignatius Institute in 1852. The excellence of the Jesuit tradition and their elite-education is widely recognized.

Besides educating students, UFSIA also organises professional training for managers. Launched in 1960, the Executive MBA has been developed over the years into highly valued management training. More than one thousand people from hundreds of companies in various business sectors have already graduated from this program. Based on this program, the Instituut voor Postuniversitair Onderwijs - IPO UFSIA was created in 1965, which has developed about 120 training programs and courses in various fields of management. Approximately 3.000 executives attend these courses each year. Since that time more than 50.000 managers graduated from various programmes of IPO UFSIA. Many of them occupy very important positions in Belgian, European and International Companies.

The IPO Business School, now Antwerp Management School, is unique in its focus on "post experience" and in the tradition to translate this in a customer focus and quality attitude. The selection of professors, the consequent evaluation system (low scores lead to replacement) and the innovation being based on specialists from the practice in co-operation with the "practical" academics, are the main elements of this working style.

Since twelve years, over 500 people have successfully graduated with the EMBA Degree of Antwerp Management School in Institute of Business Studies (IBS) in Moscow. The great success of this program is a new challenge for the future.

The cooperation between Moscow and Antwerp Universities to educate managers for the world of tomorrow is an important contribution to enhance the business relations between Russia and Europe. It gives an extra dimension to the activities and fields of interest of both and allows a vital exchange of knowledge and experience.

The Executive MBA program has the support of political and business leaders in Belgium and can be considered as a solid milestone for a long-term cooperation between both Antwerp Management School and IBS.

I hope this information will be helpful for all those who seek to build themselves a profitable and satisfactory career.

Sincerely yours,

Vincent Mertens de Wilmars

(the Ambassador of Belgium in Russia from 2006 to 2010)
